Riceland Recovery exists for people who have already done the hard work of residential treatment and now need a place in Lafayette, Louisiana that will keep them honest, supported, and moving.
Who we are
Riceland Recovery is an addiction treatment program for men and women 18 and older. We provide Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) and a step-down Outpatient Program (OP) that can continue for up to a year or longer. When a higher level of care is needed, we can refer you to trusted inpatient programs.
Services are provided under the direction of a licensed addictionologist and a team of licensed and certified counselors. The work is evidence-based, trauma-informed in spirit, and delivered in a setting that feels more like a well-kept room than a hospital wing.
We are conveniently located in Lafayette at 3405 Moss Street—close enough to daily life that recovery has to live in the same city as the rest of your obligations.
Why “after residential” matters
Leaving a 24-hour program is a relief and a risk. The structure disappears. Old streets come back. Work wants you on Monday. Family wants the person they missed. Many people relapse not because they did not “want it,” but because nothing replaced the container they just left.
Our job is to be that container—several days a week, morning or night—while you practice living. Groups, individual sessions, relapse-prevention work, and practical help with housing and employment sit side by side.

How we work
Compassionate, not casual
Kindness is the starting point. Accountability is the method. We tell the truth kindly and expect clients to do the same.
Evidence-based therapies
Counseling grounded in approaches commonly used in addiction treatment—relapse prevention, motivational work, skills practice, and 12-step facilitation when it fits the person.
Whole-life support
Through Riceland Sober Living Residences we can connect clients to housing, workforce placement, and help obtaining IDs, Social Security cards, and SNAP. Homes sit on the city bus route. Clients also visit a charity foodbank to help stretch their budget.
MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT (mat)
Riceland Recovery supports clients receiving Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with long-acting injectables like Sublocade, Brixadi, or Vivitrol. Patients must receive the injection prior to admission. Continued injections are conveniently provided through Riceland’s partner pharmacy at our IOP office.
Mental & Physical Health Services
Riceland Recovery partners with a licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to offer comprehensive weekly mental health services, including psychiatric medication prescribing and ongoing management. Additionally, we collaborate with a local medical and dental clinic to ensure holistic healthcare for our clients.
